Offline Sources of Online Inspiration
It may seem somewhat counterintuitive, but we often add to our interactive knowledge by turning to that centuries-old, non-interactive medium: books.
Here are a few titles that are on the marketing team’s shelves. Some we’ve had for a while, and others we’ve just acquired (thanks, Amazon!).
Joel Comm: “Twitter Power: How to Dominate Your Market One Tweet at a Time” (with Anthony Robbins, and Ken Burge)
Shel Israel, Robert Scoble, “Naked Conversations: How Blogs Are Changing the Way Businesses Talk With Customers”
David Meerman Scott, “The New Rules of Marketing and PR: How to Use News Releases, Blogs, Podcasting, Viral Marketing and Online Media to Reach Buyers Directly”
Dave Evans, “Social Media Marketing: An Hour a Day”
Andy Sernovitz, “Word of Mouth Marketing: How Smart Companies Get People Talking”
Paul Gillin, “The New Influencers: A Marketer’s Guide to the New Social Media”
In the next few weeks and months, we hope to share our thoughts about these books and what they taught us.
But first, it’s your turn:
- Which ones have you read?
- Which ones did you like best?
- What did you think?
- What should we add to our library?
